To harness the burgeoning influencer-driven shopping trend in India, Meesho, the SoftBank-backed e-commerce platform, has unveiled its Meesho Creator Club 2025. This initiative aims to seamlessly connect content creators with sellers, enhancing consumer engagement and driving sales through authentic, relatable content.

Empowering Creators Across India

At the heart of this initiative is the Meesho Creator Club 2025, an in-house affiliate program offering influencers real-time performance analytics, expedited payouts, and direct collaboration opportunities. The platform is designed to be inclusive, providing monetization avenues to creators from Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities, thereby democratizing access to India’s expanding digital economy. By eliminating traditional barriers, Meesho enables creators to scale their digital businesses and tap into high-demand product categories with tailored support.

Innovative Shopping Experiences

To enrich the user experience, Meesho has introduced ‘Video Finds’ and ‘Live Shop’. ‘Video Finds’ features short, engaging product videos directly on the Meesho app, allowing users to discover and shop through immersive content. Meanwhile, ‘Live Shop’ offers real-time interactive sessions where sellers and influencers showcase products, address queries, and facilitate immediate purchases. These features bridge the gap between content consumption and commerce, fostering a more interactive and personalized shopping journey.

Impressive Growth Metrics

Since the inception of its content commerce strategy in 2024, Meesho has witnessed significant traction. The platform’s content-driven approach has reached over 14.5 million users, contributing to a threefold increase in order volumes compared to the overall platform growth. Notably, categories such as women’s western wear, jewelry, footwear, home décor, kidswear, and beauty products have experienced nearly tenfold growth, underscoring the impact of influencer-led content on consumer purchasing behavior. With the expansion of the Meesho Creator Club 2025, these numbers are expected to climb even further in the coming year.

The Expanding Influencer Economy

Meesho’s initiative aligns with the broader trajectory of India’s influencer marketing landscape. A recent report by EY and Collective Artists Network projects that the influencer marketing industry in India is set to grow by 25% in 2024, reaching an estimated INR 2,344 crore, and is expected to further expand to INR 3,375 crore by 2026. This surge is driven by increased smartphone penetration and the growing importance of social media in consumers’ lives, making influencer collaborations a pivotal component of brand strategies. The Meesho Creator Club 2025 is set to capitalize on this trend by offering structured opportunities for influencers to monetize their reach and creativity.
